The brief
A cosmetics retailer wanted an online store that loads fast, ranks in search, supports Cash on Delivery and never sells stock it doesn't have. The owner also wanted to change banners and featured products without waiting on a developer.
Storefront
Built on Angular 22 SSR with hydration and event replay, zoneless change detection and signals. Every page ships its own SEO metadata. Customers browse nested categories and brands, search and filter, and check out with Cash on Delivery.
Checkout that can't oversell
Stock is reduced in a single database step at checkout, so two customers can never buy the last item at the same time. Cancelled orders restore stock automatically.
An admin the owner actually uses
- A dashboard with revenue, orders and low-stock alerts.
- An order pipeline (Pending → Confirmed → Shipped → Delivered) with one-click Call and WhatsApp to the customer.
- The owner edits the hero banner, homepage sections (Trending, Best Sellers, Collections), delivery fees and announcement bar without a developer.
API and deployment
A REST API on Node.js and Express 5 with Prisma, MySQL, Zod validation, JWT admin auth and image uploads. It's deployed as one app on shared Node hosting. Because the host blocks local network calls, the SSR server talks to the API over a Unix socket. Credentials are injected at runtime, and releases go through a deploy-branch pipeline.
